Well, I finally made time to update the cover and label for my Painter X Volume Three Tutorial DVD.

Since this DVD is all about portrait painting and includes the special set of Marilyn Painter Brushes for portraits, it only made sense to put an adorable painting of a baby all pink and delicious on the cover. Thanks to my good friends Maria and Andy for allowing me to use this painting of their baby. What a cutie!! I am working to take my work more and more away from what most portrait photographers are trying to paint…that is their painting don’t show brushstrokes and added colors. It’s hard for photographers to break the mold and go for it and be messier. It’s easy for me to do in my City Art, but a struggle with my soul to do it for portraits. The brushes I’ve modified and created help me to break that and let the brushwork show!
