Well said Marylin!!!
I don't speak English very well and I am unable to express some easy (but difficult) concepts about our art!!
You did it perfectly and hope that people shall understand the amount of pure creativity we put in our works!
I know you were born as a traditional painter and you approached some digital programs in a fantastic way, teaching us (as first) that there is no programs which can replace our minds, hands and ideas...
Making a really good painting is not a technology miracle!!!!
Thanks so much to remind me that every day!!!
Ciao, Giovanna, Rome, Italy

I don't use the clone painting feature in Painter very often. I do, like most artists, use both photo reference and a blank canvas and also from my imagination with my abstracts. After the digital file is printed, on top of the canvas it is reworked with natural media involving paint, medium gels and gold leaf. The originals are not posted on the net, only the digital files. There is a huge variety to how I work and Painter is only one tool that is used. That is the reason if you notice, there are not photo references usually shown on this blog. Because the finished paintings are so different from the references. Thanks for you comment so I could converse back.

are all your paintings simply painted on top of a original photo in painter? to be honest, i dont see any particular skill involved in doing that. try painting from your imagination with references instead
