Our first year here in Asheville and we are taking advantage of Fall on the Blue Ridge Parkway. We drove both north and south of Asheville and have to say that the south drive down to Graveyard Fields and past Mt Pisgah is just amazing. This will definitely be a major part of our living here and enjoying the mountains!

I’m envious, Marilyn — I’d never leave our area simply because our kids have all settle here and we get to be an integral part of our grandkids’ lives. But I’ve been to Asheville. And I’ve never felt closer to heaven than in those mountains. Enjoy — and please keep sharing. Love the shots and your paintings of your new home environment.

You are lucky to have the grandchildren near you so you really have it better! I promise this year there will be more Asheville paintings. I have a series I am working on and have just not posted them anywhere yet. I want to get the grouping done so they make sense together. Thanks so much for your comments. I love your blog BTW!
