    Hi Marilyn and Michael,
Would you have a detailed description of your three day Advanced class in FL? Any chance you will be doing something similar in Ashville this year?
    Thanks,
    Jean

    Hello Jean,

I totally missed this post! YES! We are having an amazing Painter Fall BLAST for advanced Painter users in October in Asheville! What could be better?

Here’s the link and fair warning…..it is selling out! The group coming is amazing and it is one event I am thoroughly looking forward to:
FOUR DAY FALL PAINTER BLAST: http://tinyurl.com/55gf5z

Cost and info is all there on the sites. Schedule for the Two Day is intensive two days at the computer learning the software and painting. BREAKFAST and LUNCH and SNACKS included.

Schedule for the FOUR DAY: Day One Exploring Different Methods of Painting and incorporating other software with the paintings also.
Day TWO: Fall Photography and Gallery Visits Meeting Other Artists
Day THREE: Morning: Paint from the day before photography (if desired)
Afternoon: PRINT our paintings and begin talking about Embellishing the prints and sealing them
Day FOUR: Morning: Embellish Prints, paint on them, explore Materials for ART on the prints
Afternoon: Share Advanced Painter Techniques and
Discuss Marketing, Promoting and Selling Our Artwork

That would pretty much sum it up I think!!

Hope you can make it. The earlybird price is amazing.

  4. Marilyn Sholin Says:

    Hi Barbara,

The Three Day advanced Painter workshop is in Sarasota at the Digital Technology Centre.
The link for them is: http://www.digitaltechnologycentre.com/
Click on the word CALENDAR for the list of classes. You can always call there also and talk to Jon
    about registering for class.

I always recommend that even though he does have computers there, it’s usually easier to work on
your own laptop and bring your tablet if you have one. Otherwise Jon can set you up with a Wacom Tablet to work with during class.

We will be covering a lot of new techniques and it will be both Portraits and “Everything Else”. While
three days is a short time we will have prints printed by the second day and on the third day we
will be embellishing them. I have a lot of new things to teach since writing the Digital Painting book.

This class does require that the students are computer literate and know how to open files, save them, use basic Photoshop skills (nothing complicated there at all) and be familiar with Painter.

    thanks for asking.

    Marilyn
