On Thursday October 2nd we had a blast with Alyson B. Stanfield the “Art Biz Coach” as she set out a plan for our small personal group of artists at our Asheville: State of the Arts workshop. I hosted this group and was lucky to get Alyson to take the time out of her busy schedule to do an evening workshop for us based on her new book “I’d Rather be in the Studio”. Alyson gave us all tips and valuable marketing help on the business of being an artist, branding and professionalism and to continue creating.

Just a quick note to say the the class I just taught at the DAA was amazing! My students were incredible! Thanks to all of you!

This gorgeous Wild Redhead is one of the images for the Digital Art Academy Digital Paintbrush class I am doing this month. I had a lot of fun painting this one and now turned it into a bonus lesson for the class. If you might want to take a workshop there let them know so you can be added to the waiting list for the next one! You can see closeups of this painting on my FLICKR site also.

I am teaching a Painter X four part class over at the wonderful DAA (Digital Art Academy) and while this one was not specific to there, it is part of a painting I did in San Diego while teaching out there. I loved how this one eye looked and wanted to share it in close up and my students at DAA can view it here also.
