TEN Things I HATE about Digital Painting!

  1. The word DIGITAL
  2. Having to choose the OUTPUT
  3. RESOLUTION
  4. People who think it’s EASY
  5. People who think it’s NOT ART but they adore Andy Warhol
  6. That there are so many CHOICES
  7. People who look away when the word DIGITAL is attached to the word ART
  8. That brush control is just sooooo important just like the real world!
  9. That even when the final canvas has hand embellishing on it, they still say DIGITAL
  10. That so many are “doing it” and “doing it” really, really WELL!

I’m curious about printing and what the limitations are for medium (paper).

Can you go to a “Kinkos” and print large “poster” like prints?

What do clients think of the results? Sorry, I’m traditionally minded when it comes to seeing art on canvass. I’m thinking the results will be like quality poster prints, correct?

    Thanks

Hmmm…interesting question, but the real answer is WHY would any “serious” artist go to Kinkos to print posters of their art? And better yet, why do “serious” artists print their work as posters after they have produced one original? Food for your thoughts. Now to answer…your question is falling under the TEN Things I Hate for sure. I would never ever consider having my artwork reproduced as originals on anything but canvas and the best watercolor paper available. After that, they are hand embellished to create only ONE original. My commissions and collectors love them and price is not an issue.
    The originals are expensive.
Hope this gives some more information and also somethings to bounce around.
