Ryan on the Run
Here’s the “thing”. My sons name is Ryan, we always nicknamed him Rhino and we collect rhinos in his honor. I saw this image and HAD to paint it and it just seemed to signify his life right now and where he is heading which is for wonderful things!
Myself, crashed under deadlines, wired for deadlines and fearing deadlines. Life is GREAT overall. I am a lucky woman to live where I want to live in Asheville, NC after moving from Miami,Fl and to have a life I always wanted.
Hope you like the painting!!

I love that Ryan the Rhino seems to be galloping full steam ahead. I hope your son’s journey is a fruitful one. Oh, and I’m jealous you’re blessed with Asheville’s surroundings. I always thought if I could spend a few weeks there I would create lovely art. It’s an inspiring place.

I too have a son named Ryan. In addition to calling him Ryno, we also called him Rybo, which was short for Ryboflavin. Hey…..things just sort of stick ya know.
I can see this piece printed on watercolor paper with a big wide border.

Thanks Ron…we never thought of the Rybo…we did also call him Cryin’ Ryan at one point and then there were the years Ryan the Lion also. But RHINO really stuck!
I agree, watercolor paper with wide border and skinny no distraction kind of frame. Going to try to get together a “collection” of these to create a new product line. Maybe one will end up in my grand daughters room! Hmmm…thinking that her one year old birthday is coming up soon too!
great comments and truly appreciate it!
